Congratulations on expressing your interest as a candidate for Reconciliation Ministries Discipleship Program. We want to let you know some of the things that will be expected from you if you are accepted into our program. Please carefully read the items listed below and digitally sign the bottom of the agreement so that we know that you have a complete understanding of what will be expected:

1)  Our facility is a 9-15-month Discipleship program in which you will be expected to spend time reading and learning scripture, as well as applying what you have learned to your life. Our students will sign contracts that will explain in full what our Faith-Based curriculum will cover and what is expected for graduation.

2)  We have a no smoking policy and a ZERO-tolerance policy for alcohol and substance use. We WILL maintain a safe environment for all our students, so each student will agree to random UA screenings for drugs, as well as nicotine tests for tobacco use.

3)  Each student will be required to participate in group and private devotions, regular church services as well as any other activity deemed appropriate by staff.

4)  During the first 30-days of the program, there is a blackout period. During this time, there will be no contact with anyone outside of the program. Students will not be allowed visitations or phone calls. This will be your time to get acclimated to the program and for some self-examination. After the blackout period, you will be allowed (2) 15 minute phone calls weekly (subject to monitoring) and monthly visits that will be held at Columbia First Church of the Nazarene. All visits and phone calls, as well as any other privileges, will be revoked if any student is non-compliant with ALL rules of Reconciliation Ministries.

5)  Here at Reconciliation Ministries we believe that service work is an integral part of recovery and restoration. Often during our life in active addiction, seldom did we do things for others that did not somehow benefit us. In order to prevent program costs to you, we sometimes go on work trips or provide local services. This is considered service work and will help support you while in the program. None of our students will be paid for these work trips; however, we will apply some of these funds toward probation fines, restitution, and/or child support. Conditions of these payments are to be determined by the staff of Reconciliation Ministries.

6)  Reconciliation Ministries is a discipleship program and Christ centered, so we uphold a standard that aligns with these principles. Therefore, students are not allowed to have contact or visits with any male/female outside of marriage or immediate family.

7)  These rules are to be followed by all students in our program at all times. Any rule infractions can lead to dismissal from the program or restriction of privileges. If you are asked to leave the program, or you leave for any reason, it will be YOUR responsibility to find alternate housing and transportation. Reconciliation Ministries will NOT be responsible for transportation or placement in a new programs, nor will we fund this in any way. There may be special circumstances, and those will be assessed by the staff on a case by case basis. All rules are subject to change at the discretion of the staff and may be evaluated and adapted as needed. Any changes to the rules of participation in our program will be explained individually and placed in writing for each student to sign. Any failure to acknowledge or to adhere to the rules of Reconciliation Ministries is cause for dismissal from the program.

8)  We understand that some of these rules may seem extreme, but we believe that they are necessary in order to transform us from the addicted individual that lived and practiced in deceit and sin into a victorious Christian. While you are here you will experience love, brotherhood, and compassion in a safe environment.
